Functions of ∆

The ∆  function is essentially yes/enter/call. It will place calls, answer calls, and confirm menu items.

A short press on ∆  will show your battery level.

A long press on ∆  will show ‘MENU’ on the screen.


Functions of X

The X is essentially no/decline/end call. It will back space if you are entering a phone number, end a current call, or jump to the previous page in menu items.

A short press on X will show your signal strength as well as some debugging information we've included specifically for this beta.

A long press on X will allow you to enter the #,*, or + symbols. Long pressing will display # initially, if you press X again it will instead show a #, and if you pressed it again it will display a +. You will need to wait 2 seconds for that symbol to submit before conintuing.


How do I navigate the keyboard?

A short press of any number will enter it to the display. This is how you can place an outgoing call.

A long press of any number will bring up the corresponding speed dial. ∆ will then place the call and X will leave that speed dial and return to the main screen.

Pressing any number will bring up a specific page in the menu.
You can see the corresponding pages of the MENU listed below.

Once in a specific page, like RINGTONE, you will need to press X to jump back to the main MENU in order to view a different menu page.

Navigating the options within a page is done with 2 & 8.
For screens with lots of information, 4 & 6 will scroll horizontally.

Pressing ∆  will confirm that option within the settings page.



1. RINGTONE:  ON, VIBRATE

2. OUTGOING:  across to view date and time of call.
                               2 & 8 scroll up and down through the list.
                               4 & 6 scroll left and right to view date & time of call.

3. INCOMING:  across to view date and time of call.
                              2 & 8 scroll up and down through the list.
                              4 & 6 scroll left and right to view date & time of call.

4. MISSED:  A list of missed calls.
                       2 & 8 scroll up and down through the list.
                       4 & 6 scroll left and right to view date & time of call.

5. CLOCK:  STANDARD, 24-HOUR, NO TIME

6. CLOUD MODE:  STANDALONE, CONCIERGE

7. DEEP SLEEP:  ON, OFF

8. UPDATE:  This is for updating the firmware or dialer on the Light Phone.

9. INFO:  FW version; Modem version; IMEI; IMSI; which carrier; SIM status; HW version; Available storage



Speed Dials

A long press of any number will bring up the corresponding speed dial. ∆ will then place the call and X will leave that speed dial and return to the main screen.

Currently in the beta, there is no way to update your speed dials without us showing you how to manually update the Light Phone device.



Go Light   ( Turning On Call Forwarding )

To go light you will need to turn on CALL FORWARDING so that you will receive incoming calls on your Light Phone device.

Turning Off Call Forwarding

When you return from enjoying your light trip you will need to turn off CALL FORWARDING so that your calls will no longer go to your Light Phone, but again to your primary smartphone device.



Answering an Incoming Call

When receiving a call on your Light Phone, to answer tap ∆ .



Placing an Outgoing Call

Enter the phone number and tap ∆  to place the call.



Ignore a call

Tap X to end an incoming call you do not wish to take.
